It was fantastic! Reidar made sure we would be able to see the northern lights, so he picked us up earlier than planned and drove us farther than planned! he was very kind and friendly, we spent the night talking around the bonfire with some hot soup and a cup of tea, it was truly perfect! even if the northern lights that night weren't very bright, I still had a wonderful evening! if I come back again to Tromso I'll make sure to book a night with Reidar, that's for sure!

On an average week in the north you will see the lights on more than one occasion. We hunt clear skies, that means that on some days we have to move around for the best chance. Don't worry, we´ll check the forecast for you, and local knowledge is priceless.

Photography

We have a few years of experience with northern lights and nature photography, and we always bring a camera when we are out. We know the good spots and we´ll throw in some helpful tips & tricks along the way.

Arctic Hiking

There are plenty of hiking opportunities in the north - most of them only a "stone's throw" away from a city. We will adapt the terrain and pace to the group and bring snowshoes if necessary. We can promise you a good walk and a nice view.

The Arctic Moments is part of the professional and local guide service company Naturguiden AS (The Nature Guide), situated in Tromsø and the north of Norway. Incorporating this concept in arctic travel is one way of telling you that the products are certified local and authentic.

The company is run by the local guide Reidar. He is one of a few guides in the area with a 3-year arctic travel and nature guide education, and he has a lot of experience within the field of arctic outdoor life, safety, and travel. As a local Norwegian that have been using nature around Tromsø since he was a child, he delivers authentic experiences taking you to some of his favorite spots in the area.
