Departing from Tromsø in the early morning, you will journey through scenic fjords, along serene waters, and past charming fishing villages. As you approach Senja, you'll be greeted by a landscape where towering cliffs meet the Atlantic Ocean, providing breathtaking views that are sure to captivate both your senses and camera.
Throughout the tour, there will be several stops at iconic viewpoints, such as the striking Bergsbotn platform, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding fjords and mountains, and the magical Tungeneset, where you can walk along the wooden walkway to see the legendary Devil's Jaw mountains.
Along the way, you will have the option to enjoy lunch at one of the island’s cozy cafes or scenic picnic spots. Price & Duration
Organized as a private tour lasting from early morning until we are back in Tromsø again late in the evening - 1 to 6 guests.
Expect to spend 10+ hours on the road, but adaptable to your schedule. Departure at 08:00/8:00 am with pickup in the Tromsø area.
The price is currently NOK 12.000.- base price for the one-day excursion not including extras or a sleepover.
How we go
The tour is conducted by car. It is an easy tour with as much walking as we want to, but on a traditional tour, we will not stray very far from the car. Some of the areas are partially adapted for persons with walking disabilities.
Season
The tour is best under the midnight sun from May to the end of July. Also nice in August and September to get the sunset on the western part of the island, and the fall colors in September.
How to dress & what to bring
Bring a bottle of water, good shoes, a weatherproof jacket, and some snacks. It is a long day in the car. There will be toilet breaks along the way. Remember your camera.
